Rupauls Drag Race !!INSTALL!!
Prospective Drag Race contestants submit video auditions to the show's production company, World of Wonder.[7] RuPaul, the host and head judge, views each tape and selects the season's competitors.[8] Once the chosen pool of performers is on set, they film a series of episodes in which they compete against each other in various challenges. Each episode typically concludes with the removal of one contestant from the competition. Rarely, the outcome of an episode has been a double elimination,[9][10] no elimination,[11] contestant disqualification[10] or removal of a contestant on medical grounds.[10] Each episode features a so-called maxi challenge that tests competitors' skills in a variety of areas of drag performance. Some episodes also feature a mini challenge, the prize of which is often an advantage or benefit in the upcoming maxi challenge. Following the maxi challenge, contestants present themed looks in a runway walk.[12][13] RuPaul and a panel of judges then critique each contestant's performance, deliberate amongst themselves, and announce the week's winner and bottom two competitors. The bottom two queens compete in a so-called Lip Sync for Your Life;[14] the winner of the lip sync remains in the competition, and the loser is eliminated.[12][11] Generally, the contestant that the judges feel has displayed the most "charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent" (C.U.N.T.) is the one who advances.[11][15] The final three, or four depending on what RuPaul chooses, contestants remaining compete in a special finale episode wherein the season's winner is crowned. In early seasons, the finale was pre-recorded in the studio with no audience. More recently, the finale has taken the form of a lip sync tournament before a live audience. The season 12 finale was filmed remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[16] The whole season is typically filmed in four weeks.[17]

Season 8 on began airing on March 7, 2016, with cast members announced during the NewNowNext Honors on February 1, 2016. Visage returned as a main judge, while Kressley and Mathews returned as rotating main judges.[52] The first episode celebrated the 100th taping of the show, and the 100th drag queen to compete. Similar to season 2, this season had twelve contestants competing for the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar", a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics, and a cash prize of $100,000. The winner of season 8 was Bob the Drag Queen, with Cynthia Lee Fontaine winning Miss Congeniality.
RuPaul additionally came under fire for comments made in an interview with The Guardian, in which he stated he would "probably not" allow a transgender contestant to compete.[153] He compared transgender drag performers to doping athletes on his Twitter,[154] and has since apologized.[155][156] Sasha Velour (season 9) disagreed, tweeting "My drag was born in a community full of trans women, trans men, and gender non-conforming folks doing drag. That's the real world of drag, like it or not. I thinks it's fabulous and I will fight my entire life to protect and uplift it".[157]
For the first twelve seasons, RuPaul would say, "Gentlemen, start your engines, and may the best woman win," before the contestants' runway looks for the episode were shown. When season 13 introduced the show's first ever transgender male contestant, Gottmik, RuPaul's catchphrase was changed in order to promote inclusivity: "Racers, start your engines, and may the best drag queen win."[158] In season 6 of All Stars, an altered version of the show's opening theme was introduced with the new tag line.
"Ladies, I have made my decision," RuPaul announced as Anetra and Mistress awaited their fate. "For the first time this season, shantay you both stay! Condragulations, you are both moving on to the grand finale!"
After a very chaotic journey in season 11, Silky Nutmeg Ganache made it to the grand finale with her undeniable charisma, veteran drag experience, and bigger-than-life personality. Though the judges certainly loved Ganache, season 11 was ultimately not her year to snatch the crown.
Sasha Colby entered Drag Race season 15 as a well-established drag legend, and she did not disappoint in the competition. After winning four maxi challenges and never landing in the bottom, Colby collected yet another title to her resumé: Drag Race finalist.
RuPaul's Drag Race began in 2009 as a raggedy spoof of reality competition shows, with hilariously low-rent production values on Logo. After 13 seasons and a move to VH1, it has transformed and distilled the once-underground and defiantly transgressive culture of drag into a formula perfectly suited to mainstream viewing.
"RuPaul's Drag Race" is a reality show in which a group of talented drag queens compete in challenges to impress host RuPaul, the world's most famous drag queen, to win a cash prize along with a crown and the title of America's Next Drag Superstar. Each episode consists of a main challenge, usually some form of performance or fashion design -- sometimes both. The queens then participate in a themed runway show, where one is declared the winner of that week, while two others are announced to be up for elimination. The bottom two must then compete to stay on the show with a lip-sync for their lives.
"It is really important to us that Drag Race is supported by a passionate team as we identify the right broadcast and production partners across Asia," World of Wonder founder Fenton Bailey said in a statement. "We know we are in great hands, and we are excited to be bringing Drag Race to audiences across Asia and sharing in the joy of all things drag!"
Viewers across Asia will also be introduced to Secret Celebrity Drag Race, where celebs perform lip sync battles in full drag while keeping their identities hidden from the audience until they exit the show.
Immediately following her original season where she placed second, Chad became the series first all-star champion and the oldest contestant yet to win. As an impersonator, most of Chads looks are inspired by Cher, but in many ways that is just a jumping off point for her extremely polished showgirl style of drag. Chad beat runner-up Raven on November 26, 2012.
The first of three comedy queens to reign, Jinkx set a new tone for the series by showing that great drag is more versatile than just a slick runway walk and eye-catching costumes and make-up. Jinkx beat runner-up Alaska on May 6, 2013.
Bob is one of the most well-rounded queens to earn the crown, excelling with her sharp wit, creative costuming and warm charm. She is a queen that grew up watching the show and entered drag because of it, an example of how the series has forever changed and inspired drag for new generations. Bob beat runners-up Kim Chi and Naomi Smalls on May 16, 2016.

The conversation goes to the banning of drag performances and drag story time across the country. Being from Texas, Mistress points out that they do have family friendly shows, but also they have the more rowdy shows that are restricted to younger audiences, obviously. As Mistress says, people have a crazy misconception as to what drag is.
